Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds

A person can apply for a permanent resident visa on Humanitarian and Compassionate ground, who are currently living in and outside Canada who are not eligible to apply from within and outside Canada for permanent residence in any of the Immigration categories.

The program is designed to facilitate one category of candidates who need to immigrate to Canada but not qualify to apply under any Immigration category depending on the situation. The Candidates falling under the following categories are not eligible to apply for Canada Immigration under H & C Program.

• Spouse or Common-law partners

• Live-in-caregiver

• Protected persons or

• Temporary Resident Permit holders.
